Colin Buck, chief executive of MPA, said: "Sandra and David can be very proud of their achievements, the quality of entries was exceptionally high this year. They are both worthy victors and their winning images perfectly illustrate the high standard of professional photography in the UK.

We are very grateful to Fujifilm for their generous support of the Awards and we look forward to receiving entries into the 2012 MPA Wedding & Portrait Awards, details of which can be found on the MPA website."

Nice to see a portrait comp where the winners dont all seem to be the most god-awfully miserable unkempt people sat in mundane settings with muted colour or just a basic passport photo of someone with an 'odd' look about them, staring straight at the camera.

Thank you sir, most kind.
