3 launch 'My Gallery', the first mobile blogging service - Those with 3 phones can now publish photos and videos direct from their handsets to a personalised online gallery, where family and friends- or the public at large - can view and comment.
The 3G technology behind My Gallery adds a whole new dimension to the global 'blogging' phenomenon by removing the need to be wired up to a PC. The revolutionary service instantly publishes pictures or videos sent from a mobile phone to a customer's unique website while they're on the move.
Customers who subscribe to the service can choose to share their images with friends and family 'by invitation only' on a private website or show them off to a global audience on a public website.
Video mobile technology is all about immediacy, whether it's downloading the latest music video on the move or being the first to share the breaking news from Big Brother with your friends. With My Gallery, you can share your antics straight away with your friends and family without being tied to a PC,' said Graeme Oxby, Marketing Director of 3.
3 customers can also add pictures from their PC, manage content and invite friends to visit via email or sms direct from their My Gallery website. Both public and private My Gallery sites are fully interactive, allowing visitors to 'blog' their own comments.
To set up a My Gallery site, customers simply send a picture or video message to 3333 and then instantly receive a password via SMS. 3 customers can then choose to publish their pictures chronologically or in albums on their public or private website.
