Epson Stylus S20 Compact Photo Printer

· 10 Jun 2008
Affordable printing from Epson - Epson launch the new Epson Stylus S20 - a stylish, compact and affordable printer with individual ink cartridges.

Epson Stylus R20Epson’s new Stylus S20 colour inkjet printer combines style with substance providing low-cost, high-quality document and photo printing for the home.

Press Release:
Epson have announced the launch of the Epson Stylus S20, a new personal document and photo printer with individual ink cartridges that combines quality, versatility and economy. With a contemporary and compact design, the Stylus S20 is engineered to meet the demands of everyday printing in the home.

Often a benefit only found in more premium products, the Epson Stylus S20 comes with individual ink cartridges from just £5.99 each. This supports cost-efficient printing as consumers only need to replace the colour they use, minimising ink wastage. The printer uses Epson DuraBrite Ultra Ink which is an advanced pigment-based technology that encapsulates the ink particles in a protective resin coating. This makes the ink resistant to water, smudging and fading and provides superb text and lab-quality photos, which can last up to 200 years when stored in a photo album.

The Stylus S20 includes Epson PhotoEnhance technology, enabling users to get the best out of their photos. Images featuring skin tones, landscapes and skylines are detected automatically and reproduced with enhanced colour settings to improve the overall tones and contrasts. Also included is Epson Easy Photo Print, which makes it easy to remove red-eye.

Time efficiency has also been considered by Epson and the Epson Stylus S20 offers print speeds of up to 26 pages per minute (ppm) in black and white and 14ppm in colour.

Mark Robinson, Senior Product Manager at Epson UK, commented: “The Epson Stylus S20 offers a competitive price for customers seeking an easy to use, high-quality printer, for everyday printing needs. However, Epson has not sacrificed any of its core technologies; the Stylus S20 benefits from Epson DuraBrite Ultra Ink and delivers laser-like text and superb photos. It also features individual ink cartridges priced from just £5.99 each, making high-quality affordable printing at home a reality.”

An Energy Star qualified printer, the Stylus S20 reflects Epson’s ongoing focus on reducing the carbon emissions attributed to the use of its products. Recent energy-saving innovations include an automatic standby function which reduces electricity consumption and improves cost efficiency.
