Press Release: Julie and Steve Walton photography
Contemporary Imaging Consultancy, owned and run by leading wedding and portrait photographers, Julie Oswin and Steve Walton, plans an exclusive two-day wedding seminar at an ivy-clad 18th century Cornwall castle - with a special discount for ePHOTOzine members.

Any member signing up for the programme (Jan 12 and Jan 13) will get an automatic £15 discount from the normal price (£395 inc VAT) plus room and food/refreshments at Treganna Castle, St. Ives, for an extra £60.

The multi-award-winning photo duo whose recently released book, Contemporary Wedding Photography, has already sold over 10,000 copies, are also offering one free place at a separate course at Sutton Bonington Hall, East Midlands in February or March (see ePHOTOzine Christmas newsletter for full details)

The Oswin/Walton wedding team is now one of the UK's most sought-after social photography combinations in the UK - both by discerning consumers and the burgeoning professional imaging lecture circuit.

Said Julie: "Our workshops have already been attended by nearly 80 photographers keen to learn how to make more money shooting weddings."

"We employ bride and groom models for the event - and photographers will be shooting their own images before they are guided by us."

The two day Wedding Business programme covers:

DAY ONE:
Planning and capturing the wedding day with a hands-on all -day workshop.

DAY TWO:
Marketing, sales, digital workflow, actions, pricing.

Delegates will learn how to:

  • Build a successful wedding photography business
  • Attract the right clients
  • Plan the wedding with clients
  • Network successfully

Added Julie: "These really are must-do courses for aspirational wedding photographers who are looking to produce images of the highest quality. We have proven time and again that it is easily possible to make £5,000 or more from a wedding shoot."

"An average wedding these days costs around £18,000 and a creative and competent photographer should be charging around 10% of that as an absolute minimum. Selling techniques after the day can bring that average figure up dramatically."

Interested members can call Julie Oswin/ Steve Walton on (08453) 707273 or browse the website for comprehensive course information.
