Fujicolor Pro 160S and Pro 160C now available

Posted: 20 Jul 2005
Fujicolor Pro 160S and Pro 160C now available - Fujifilm Professional's Next generation of professional medium-speed colour negative films - Fujicolor Pro 160S and Pro 160C - are now available to UK photographers.
Both films feature smoother skin tone rendition, unprecedented neutral grey balance, exceptionally fine grain, and wide exposure latitude (-1 to +3 EV). They represent the leading edge of Fujifilm's colour negative film technology. Both have been optimised for digital scanning, and give excellent performance when used for digitally printed portraiture.

The two new films boast even finer grain than their predecessors, with an RMS granularity of 3 (compared to 4 for the current NPS 160 and NPC 160). The result is notably smoother, richer-looking prints, especially at larger sizes.

Richard Linney, product manager for Fujifilm Professional, said: "These new films are ideal for photographers who want to combine the exceptional image quality and huge information-carrying capacity of silver-halide film with the flexibility that a digital workflow can offer."

Combining smooth, gentle tonality with superbly natural colour reproduction, Fujicolor Pro 160S is ideal for wedding, portrait, and fashion photography. Fujicolor Pro 160C meanwhile offers higher contrast and more vivid colour, making it suitable for a wide range of assignments from portraiture and commercial work to architecture.

Fujicolor Pro 160S and Pro 160C will replace the current Fujicolor Portrait Film NPS 160 and NPC 160. Pro 160S is available in 35mm, 120, 220, 4 x 5 inch, 8 x 10 inch and 4 x 5 QuickLoad formats while Pro160C is available in 35mm, 120 and 220.

Fujicolor NPH 400 and NPZ 800 are both being re-packaged to bring them in line with the rest of Fujifilm's pro-series. Both films remain unchanged.
