Fujifilm FinePix IP-10 passport photo printer
Press Release:
Fujifilm has unveiled a new printer aimed at retailers who would like to add an ID/passport service to their business.
The FinePix IP-10 is a self-contained unit, with a compact size of just 18cm x 14cm x 7cm. This easy to use printer is equipped with Fujifilm's proprietary Image Intelligence software that is designed to make every photograph as close to perfect as possible, resulting in better prints and fewer rejects. The software automatically detects faces in the image data and then optimises face colouring to give quality, consistent results every time.
This innovative dye-sublimation printer features a 2.4in colour LCD screen and is compatible with most popular types of media cards. If the IP-10 is used in conjunction with selected cameras from Fujifilm's FinePix range, prints can be made directly from the camera without the need for extracting the memory card and deleting the image.
The printer uses specific paper, F-RP120P, each pack contains 120 sheets (6 x 20 sheets), these packs also include three ink cartridges. Frame sizes can be easily customised to allow for flexibility and images can even be displayed on a TV screen so the customer can choose their favourite image before printing.
Paul Austin from Fujifilm explains how the IP-10 can help boost profits: "Passport photography is a great money spinner for many photographers and high street labs. It's also a good way of increasing footfall into a business and many retailers find that people who pay for a professional ID photograph become valued customers in the future."
The IP-10 will also be available as part of two ID Kits - the trade up kit will include a printer, paper, camera, wallets, and point of sale posters and the full kit which will come with a printer, paper, camera, wallets, cutter, blind, point of sale posters and an A6 swing sign. The kits will be sold via selected wholesalers.
