Next generation product search

Posted: 17 Jul 2008
Jessops leads the way in online product search - Jessops launch a new online tool that will help buyers by mimicing the way we make decisions.

Jessops camera selector Jessops, the UK's leading photographic retailer, has launched a next-generation product search tool that incorporates award-winning new technology from PrismaStar Software.

Available at www.jessops.com , the Camera Selector is the world's first that mimics the way the human brain makes decisions to help shoppers find their ideal camera quickly and intuitively, putting them in complete control of their search.

By selecting priorities for different camera features, including price, size, colour and resolution, customers can rank Jessops' entire range of cameras, automatically displaying those which meet their exact requirements. The specifications of these best match cameras can then be compared side by side.

Karen Lamerick, Jessops' head of marketing, says: "Jessops is renowned for offering exceptionally high standards of customer service including impartial advice, and we are delighted to extend this further through the launch of the Camera Selector."

The Camera Selector has been created through a partnership between Jessops and PrismaStar Software, a pioneer of product search and consumer guidance technology.

The service is the first implementation in the UK of PrismaStar's patent-pending AnswerOil, which prioritises the importance of any product feature and gives highly accurate and unbiased results.
