Phase One improves efficiency and storage for professional photographers

Phase One today announce that their P-series digital camera backs, including the new P 45, P 30 and P 21 products, are now bundled with the award winning professional SanDisk Extreme III Compact Flash storage cards and accommodating USB readers.

Phase One is the only photographic hardware manufacturer in the world that can use the full bandwidth of SanDisk Extreme III cards.
The Phase One 3S technology Secure Storage System has recently been introduced in the latest Phase One P-series firmware. The 3S technology improves the storage security level by checking the validity on every Compact Flash card inserted in the P-back. This
technology eliminates the risk of accidentally writing to a damaged storage media. Phase One was the first digital back vendor to provide storage on memory cards and is naturally now also the first in this field to implementenhanced storage efficiency and security

Professional photographers are constantly on a quest for an ever more efficient workflow, especially when creating very high quality images. Providing SanDisk Extreme III cards with the Phase One digital camera backs will enable faster capturing of large image files, faster viewing of the files and faster data transfer rates. Most cards from other vendors only have write speeds of 9 megabytes (MB) per second. The SanDisk Extreme III cards more than double the standard write speed by performing at an impressive 20 MB per second. The range of cards can store 1, 2, 4 or 8 gigabytes of images.
