School photography at SchoolPhotoPro

· 16 Jul 2007
Top class website for photographers - Since August 2006, a new photography forum has been quietly gaining popularity, because of the unique area of professional photography it covers.

Press Release: School photography at SchoolPhotoPro

SchoolPhotoPro is a very well run, professional forum and has quickly become one of the best resources for school photographers. There is a growing community of polite, friendly and very helpful professional photographers who are highly experienced in many different fields.

Kevin Cheesman, a hard working professional school photographer since 1984, is the man behind SchoolPhotoPro. “I started the forum because I felt there was a desperate need for a forum covering this area of photography."

Membership to the general forum is free so it is well worth a visit if school photography is part of your profession or something you wish to add to your profession. The forum is capable of meeting a variety of requirements. Whether you just want the chance to chat with like minded professionals, or would like a sounding board for new products and ideas this forum can provide you with friendly and willing members of this niche trade. The discussions range from ‘Has anyone tried the new S5?’ to ‘Printing proof cards from home’ and ‘What’s the best way to market to new schools?’ On this forum, anything goes and many of its members are more than happy to contribute. There is even a vendor section providing a place for vendor promotion and a means for the school photography trade to learn more about various suppliers.

Here are some comments from a couple of members regarding the SchoolPhotoPro forum:

"I have to say I ignored the first few emails you sent me inviting me to join. But I got curious one day and decided to take a look and that was it I was hooked!!!!. I think it is great. Like many of your members I work by myself and can feel quite isolated. I have got lots of useful info ideas and tips and its great to know that if I am not sure about something I call get some opinions. I usually log in a few times a week just to see what's going on, so I am really glad that I joined."

"I really like the forum, to be honest, yours is the only forum I log onto now. I can't be bothered with people asking silly questions like what's shutter speed and apertures etc, I know everyone has to learn, like we all did, but there is not many forums out there specifically for Pro's, so everyone on your forum has a business approach to their discussions, so that is why I like it so much. It's a good mixture between business and just general discussion."

Unlike many other forums a quick troll through this forum immediately brings relevant and useful information. It doesn’t take hours of digging through the typical chit chat to find a few nuggets of pertinent information.

The SchoolPhotoPRO forum has been very well thought out. “We care about member privacy and understand that not all photographers want to identify their company or website to others, but do enjoy talking with people who are in the same business. To ensure member privacy but maintain a professional and polite experience within the forum, members register with their full real names and state their location in their profile, but website and email addresses are hidden in our member list in order to give members a certain amount of privacy to their work style and business.”

If you photograph schools, pre-schools or nurseries and want to mix with like-minded professionals, or this is something you want to be able to add to your list of services, take a look a SchoolPhotoPro.
