After the great success of the 2nd edition of Servigroup Hotels photography competition based on the theme of water during the holidays; on 26th November the members of the jury met up at the hotel chain’s reservation office to make a decision on this year’s winning photographs, a very complicated task due to the quantity and variety of photographs presented and above all their great quality.

This year the participation has multiplied by 5 with a total of 751 photographs that have been sent and taken in different places around the world. An example of this is that the winner is a participant from India; the second prize winner is a Mexican residing in the US and the photograph of our runner up prize was taken in Honduras.

The jury was formed by Servigroup Hotels’ website manager (Claudia Vera), Servigroup Hotels’ brand and advertising manager (Natalia Caballé), IECISA’s creative director (Carlos Matilla), the director and editor of “Foto” magazine (Manuel López), photographer and journalist (Mario Ayús), graphic and interior designer (Elena Yago) and the winner of the first edition of the photograph competition (Belén de Jesús Rodríguez).

Many of the photographs could have been the winners, but finally the verdict was the following:

• 1st prize: “Es hora de bañarse”/ “Cool off” by Sudipto Das
• 2nd prize: “Vía Láctea” by Víctor Medina
• 3rd prize: “Corriendo hacia la orilla”/”Running towards the shore” by Esther Guillén Bordera
• Runner up prize: “Ecoturismo en Honduras”/”Ecotourism in Honduras” by Pablo García Mateo

The first prize consists of a 4 night stay for two people on full board in any of our hotels and a Sony 9” digital frame. The second prize is a 2 night stay for two people on full board in any of our 4 star hotels and a Kodak digital printer; the third prize is a 2 night stay for two people on full board in any of our 3 star hotels and a selection of Wellness products. As a novelty, this year there was also a runner up prize including a 2 night stay for two people on full board in any of our 3 star hotels.

Servigroup Hotels would like to thank all the participants for their interest and for sharing their experiences and creativity; and would like to remind them that on the website all the photographs entered in the competition can be viewed including the 4 winning photographs.
