Trek-Tech TrekPod XL and MagMount Pro

JP Distribution is pleased to announce the TrekPod XL and MagMount Pro from Trek-Tech which are available with immediate effect.

The TrekPod XL serves as a monopod, tripod and hiking staff all in one.  The lightweight, (just over 600g) height-adjustable TrekPod XL is made of carbon fibre (25% lighter than the Go) with a quick-release MagMount Pro system for attaching a camera or optical device.  The MagMount Pro lets you instantly attach almost any camera, spotting scope or other device that uses the industry standard ¼ inch mounting thread.  Once you’ve lined up your shot, simply activate the anti-rotation feature to lock your portrait in place.  Then, when you’re finished shooting, you can release the camera and fold up the legs and the TrekPod XL will immediately transform into a handy walking pole.

The TrekPod XL is compact and versatile with a design that quickly breaks down into four pieces and fits into the provided small carrying case.  The device is also adjustable to several lengths, telescoping down to 99cm in its tripod mode and adjusting from 106.7 to158.8cm in its monopod/hiking pole mode.

Finally the TrekPod XL comes with a Light Force MagAdapter for carrying lighter devices and a heavy force MagAdapter with “screw down” functionality for heavier cameras.  

The TrekPod XL is the perfect self-standing monopod for the serious or professional photographer.

The MagMount Pro ballhead incorporates Trek-Tech newest Square Tooth Anti Rotation (STAR) technology.  Square teeth eliminate any movement or sag of heavy equipment.  The MagMount pro also incorporates Trek-Tech’s new Trek Lock rotating locking system.  The MagMount Pro is Trek-Tech’s largest MagMount ball head and has a load capacity of 6 kilos.  The MagMount Pro comes with the TrekPod XL and is also available to purchase separately for use with the Go and other Trek-Tech products.  It will also adapt to any monopod or tripod with an industry standard ¼ inch mounting thread.
