Vision 2007 - BJP Photographic Event

Posted: 5 Nov 2007
Vision 2007 - The annual photographic event Vision from the British Journal of Photography takes place this Thursday, offering help and advice to aspiring and professional photographers.

Press Release: Vision 2007

Come and learn direct from the experts at Europe’s only event dedicated to aspiring professional photographers.

Vision is unique in targeting photography students, graduates and early career professionals, providing real world advice through talks, seminars, demonstrations and folio reviews.

At this year’s one-day event, Vision 2007 is celebrating the 60th anniversary of Magnum, the world-famous photo agency founded by Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger and David Chim Seymour.

Two of the agency’s biggest names have confirmed attendance to Vision to mark this anniversary. René Burri is one of the world’s greatest living photographers - best known for his iconic images of Picasso, Che Guevara and the Brazilian capital. Our second headline speaker is Carl De Keyzer once dubbed the street photographer of the official world.

We’ll have a UK exclusive of Magnum-In-Motion, premiered in New York earlier this year, a world first preview of the official 60th anniversary Magnum photo book, published by Thames and Hudson.

Further highlights include a lighting workshop by renowned fashion and portrait photographer Jim Marks; plus Photoshop tuition from Tim Daly, the acclaimed author and teacher; a CV clinic; Aperture demo.

In addition, our guests from the trade will be showcasing the latest imaging kit, providing hands-on demonstrations and running competitions and special show deals.

And, our ever-popular portfolio clinic is back, providing one-on-one feedback from pro photographers and image buyers. Places are limited, so book early.

Vision 2007 takes place on November 8th 2007 at the Bridge in London.
