Winning FDIS store scores 100%
· 23 Jul 2008
Quality counts for winning FDIS store - Fujifilm has announced One Stop Stationers in Ross-on-Wye as the winner of the 2008 Fujifilm Digital Image Service (FDIS) Quality Award Trophy.
Press Release:This long-standing FDIS store beat off stiff competition from other retailers across Britain to win the trophy and scoop the first prize of a £1,000 marketing fund and a magnum of champagne.
One Stop Stationers is a family run business with father and son team Ben and John Pugh behind the reigns. Ben's mother Helen also plays a key part in the business and was responsible for the company being the first UK outlet to install a Frontier 500 minilab two years ago.
The store scored a perfect 100% in the FDIS Quality Awards. The Quality Awards are judged on the results of the FDIS Mystery Shopper, together with a Blind Print Survey and reports on monitoring strip returns. The Blind Print Survey is broken down into colour balance, density and sharpness.
Peter Wigington, Business Manager of the FDIS Group paid tribute to the store's performance: "To achieve a result of 100% is a great achievement and it illustrates perfectly the Pugh's commitment to first class customer service and technical perfection. I'm sure they will put their prize to good use to help them further develop their business."
The Mystery Shopper Survey is carried out by an independent market research company that assesses the level of customer service within the store, and also the quality of the photographs that are developed. Peter Wigington made this comment on the Mystery Shopper results: "Compared to the previous year, the overall results across all stores showed an increase in levels of customer service and image quality. The average mark for 2007 was 82.8% and this increased to 89.3% for 2008. This is a great reflection on all our member retailers and we're very keen for this improvement to continue into 2009 and beyond."
He continued: "This marked increase in the levels of quality offered by our member retailers puts them all in a very strong position to compete in our competitive and quality conscious market. Feedback from our stores tells us that initiatives such as the Quality Awards reinforce the value of being part of the larger FDIS group."
