The new CanoScan N640P ex color image scanner, with its ultra slim and stylish design builds on the success of the popular N640P. Offering an exceptional balance between price and performance the N640P ex features Canons refined LIDE image capture technology and produces crisp, sharp scanning every time, with the minimum of fuss.
Installation remains effortless, with the use of a universal parallel interface allowing the CanoScan N640P ex to be daisy chained with a printer via its versatile parallel interface. This allows users to connect more than one parallel peripheral device to a single parallel port. Designed to slot well into a multi-use environment, this adaptable and efficient scanner offers plenty of end user options and because of its parallel interface it works with older PC installations as well as the latest high performance computers.
The N640P ex is supplied with a comprehensive collection of high quality software, including ArcSoft PhotoStudio 2000, ScanSoft OmniPage Pro OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Supplied with a range of drivers, the CanoScan N640P ex is compatible with the Windows Family of operating systems including the latest Windows XP Professional and Home Edition.
Availability and pricing
The N640P ex will be available from 1 February 2002 for around 69. All CanoScan models come with a one year on-site warranty.
