ColorNavigator calibration software is designed to be used with EIZO's ColorEdge monitors, so the user can achieve an accurate display that's tailored to their needs. To improve the colour matching process further, there are four additional steps users can follow when calibrating their screens which are as follows (please note you will need a print to compare the colours displayed on your monitor with):

1. Select 'Adjust Manually'

Click on the 'Advanced' button on the first screen and select 'Adjust Manually'. This is a fine-tuning function that adjusts the target values you have just calibrated. Three types of adjustments can be performed using Manual Adjustment: Brightness, White point, and 6 Colours.

2. Adjust 'White Point' & 'Brightness'

You need to adjust the e screen color tone (whiteness) until it approximates the appearance of the printed output. If the screen output seems blue, move the pointer away from the blue spectrum and toward the red end of the spectrum to remove excess blue.

Adjust the screen luminance (brightness) until it approximates the appearance of the printed output. If the screen output is darker than the printed output, move the cursor to the right.

3. Fine-Tune The Hue And Saturation For The 6 Colours

This function can be used when you want to fine-tune a particular colour. For example, if a blue sky is too dark on your monitor when compared with the printed image, adjust the Hue B (Blue) cursor. When you've competed your adjustment click the 'Next' button.

4. Recalibration

Use the calibration sensor to set a new adjustment target that reflects post-adjustment values.

The CG series of monitors feature a built-in calibration sensor that adjusts the monitor. For the CX and CS series an external calibration device is needed to adjust the monitor. Once calibrated, the monitor's built-in correction sensor saves the adjustment values from the sensor.

When the adjustment results are displayed, click on the 'next' button. Create a new target name and hit 'finish'.
