Adobe Lightroom version 1.0 will be offered free-of-charge to Rawshooter Premium customers
The FAQ, which can be downloaded here answers the question posed by the previous FAQ about Abode's 'Special Pricing' policy.

The following question and answer is included:

Q: Will there be special pricing for those who have invested in RawShooter | Premium?
A: We have listened closely to the opinions shared by customers on the Pixmantec forums and although Lightroom will provide a much broader range of functionality than RawShooter | Premium and will be offered at a higher price point, we will be offering a free downloadable version of Lightroom 1.0 to all customers who have purchased RawShooter | Premium.

Wow, you'll have all the benefits of the library, web output, printing and development of jpg & tif all free for RS premium customers. This also means that lightroom must be around the corner for Windows.

Good news all round.

If this is true

All I can say to all you 'Windows Users' is

You have hit the Jackpot !

Just checking epz's shop you can get Rawshooter Premium for 57.02 + p&P then get a FREE download of ADOBE LIGHTROOM when it is released - beginning next year perhaps ?

I guess the rest of us will have to pay around 220 which is the current priceppoint of Apple's 'Aperture'

Well spotted Gman I missed that vital word 'version'

I suppose just like Elements is a 'lite'version of Photoshop.

Apparently, it won't be "Lite", "Elements", or "Essentials" versions. It will be (according to Pixmantec site) the full unlimited monty of version 1.0, available free for registered RSP users.

Further info on Pixmantec Website which invladates my earlier comment - Wish the 'News' stated the correct facts in the first place !

Offer a free download version of Lightroom 1.0 for customers who bought RawShooter | premium prior to July 12th 2006, 12 noon European Standard Time. Given that Lightroom 1.0 will serve a much broader range of functionality and will be priced at a higher price point than RawShooter | premium, we believe this represents a great value for our customers.

This is great news. I bought RawShooter Premium just the day before the announcement of the Adobe takeover. I was a bit worried, but this is a great offer.
