Press Release:AKVIS Software updates AKVIS Coloriage, a cutting edge tool for colouring black-and-white photos. Piles of ancient black-and-white photos will shine with all the original colours, helping users bring lost memories back and warm the hearts of their dear ones. With automated operation and class-leading usability, even inexperienced users can achieve genuinely realistic results.
Version 6.0 introduces a manual correction brush and adds support for EXIF and IPTC data. AKVIS Coloriage is available for Windows and Mac as a Photoshop plug-in and a stand-alone edition.
About AKVIS Coloriage
Using AKVIS Coloriage to colourize a black-and-white photo is as easy as handling a colouring book. In fact, "coloriage" means a colouring book in French.
Colouring old pictures with AKVIS Coloriage is easy. Simply grabbing the pencil, selecting a colour from the palette and drawing a rough outline within the area to be colourized is enough for Coloriage to do the rest. The program recognizes the borders and paints in the new colour automatically, keeping the original tone transitions and enhancing them with colours. Using Coloriage requires no manipulation with layers and no manual painting whatsoever. Coloriage analyzes the original shades of grey on the black-and-white picture to produce a shiny new picture with genuine colours and natural tones.
With AKVIS Coloriage, a perfect gift for a loved one is just a few clicks away. Adding colour to their memories can become an exciting gift for the older folks. So did Robert to the utmost excitement of his granny.
Version 6.0 adds a manual correction brush (Recolour Brush) to add that last touch to the restored pictures. The new brush can be applied after the automatic colourization to make final adjustments to the smallest details.
The new release supports EXIF and IPTC data to ensure that extra data registered by the camera such as shooting date, exposure settings, etc., as well as information and comments won’t get lost or altered.
AKVIS Coloriage is available for both Mac and Windows platforms, and comes packages as a Photoshop plug-in or as a stand-alone application. A fully featured 10-day trial of AKVIS Coloriage is available for free from the company website. The product costs from $97 to $246 depending on the license type.
