This is the third book I have made with Abelli and once again I am delighted with the high quality, beautifully finished product I have received through the mail just a few days after ordering it.

Albelli Photo Book - Software

It’s so easy to create a professional looking book – you just need to download the software to your pc or laptop, browse for your favourite photos and then let the fun begin! You can choose an auto layout which quickly arranges your photos according to date or labels you have created. I prefer to select and arrange my photos myself but I did use the templates and auto arrange on some pages when I was stuck for ideas. The auto arrange function does just what it says on the tin – each time you click the layout changes until you get one you like – this stops the pages all starting to look the same. When you are arranging the pictures special guidelines help to line up edges – makes those of us addicted to straightness happy!

There are some great backgrounds to choose from or you can use your own photos as backgrounds across one or two pages. Borders and masks can add extra interest. You can edit your images and add text in various fonts, sizes and colours. A new feature is clip art which includes little images and fun text letters to make special headings. I chose the 30x30cm size book with glossy pages and I’m absolutely thrilled with the result – the images are so vivid.

When you’ve uploaded your book to Albelli you will receive an email with instructions on how to share your book online so that friends and family can enjoy it too – I’m planning to do this as my family live in New Zealand and Australia and it might be a while before they get to see the hard copy.

Albelli Photo Book - Verdict

These books make fantastic gifts or records of special times or people. I’ve made one about my dog, another using scanned photos from my late husband’s photograph album and this latest one about my house and garden. Next I’m going to make one of my granddaughter’s first year and after that, my old family photos will be getting the Albelli treatment.
