Amazon has announced its first smartphone, the Fire Phone.
The phone features a 13 megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation, which amazon claim can keep the shutter open up to four times longer for shots in low light conditions and a fast five-element wide aperture f/2.0 lens.
It is also capable of 1080p video at 30 fps from both front and rear facing cameras. With intelligent HDR capabilities, the phone will automatically suggest when to turn on HDR.
The Fire Phone will retail for $649 without a service plan. There will also be free unlimited cloud storage available for all photos taken on the Fire Phone, in full resolution. For more information take a look at the Amazon website.
