Apple Says iPhone 5 Purple Flare Is Normal - Apple has advised users to angle the iPhone away from bright light to avoid the purple haze problem.
In a recent correspondence to gadget site Gizmodo, Apple advised users not to point the camera towards bright light to stop the purple flare appearing.
They added that the haze is normal when the camera is pointed at bright light sources.
Users are advised to angle the camera away from bright light sources to avoid the problem.
