Jargon Buster: Off
The Association of Photographers (AOP) is hosting a free trade event, 'Get Set Pro', at its gallery on Leonard Street, London on July 4th between 12 and 6pm. The event, aimed primarily at students and emerging photographers, features a number of exhibitors who are affiliated to the AOP including Fujifilm, Adobe, Epson and Nikon. Get Set Pro will offer a great opportunity to speak to industry experts and collect hints and tips from established professionals. There will also be the chance to pick up free software, publications and special discounts.
Visitors to the event will be able to attend a special AOP careers talk entitled 'How to Shoot on Location' which starts at 3pm. This will followed by an informal portfolio critique.
Get Set Pro is part of the New Shoots season of events that champions up and coming photographic talent. The season includes Awards exhibitions and college showcases, plus talks and workshops.
