Does your website make you smile?
What is your website up too? Before you answer this question sit down with a pen and paper and write down what you would like it to do. Form a wish list of your exceptions.  Then, take a look at your home page; what’s you first impression?  Would you book a shoot?  As you take a look step back for a moment and ask yourself:

What do you think this photographer enjoys doing? How will he/she make me feel as a client whether future bride or young parent?

Ponder these questions.  Maybe they will spark more questions specific to your circumstances.  Examine what changes can make to you website so that it answers your questions in the way in which you would like.  Websites are a labour of love, as soon as you have finished developing one, you feel that you need to start again or add to it.  As a creative you can’t help yourself. Always moving on but for all that can be achieved through this medium it is unavoidable.

Keep traffic flowing.
I am a lover of blogs.  As somebody heavily involved in marketing they interest me greatly and as a person who likes people I also enjoy reading them to keep up with my friends in the industry.  There are so many like me out there.  What are you doing now on your blog?  Who do you think is reading it and more importantly, who would love to read it but has no idea that it is out there? This is the ultimate crime.  We are all looking to develop attention-seeking businesses as it is attention which keeps client traffic coming in our direction.

What is the attention you are creating doing for your business?
