Here's his tip:

"Choosing the right focal length is critical to balancing a landscape. Many photographers suffer from 'whacky wide angle syndrome', placing the Camera and zooming with little thought. The camera position is crucial when balancing the key elements in the frame. Try a longer focal length and stepping back for instance, this will pull distant objects into the image and create harmony with those in the foreground.  My photograph here is a perfect example of this and as you can see the advice works!
