Old photographic methods and new sit comfortably side by side at the Bath Photographic Society's 2003 Exhibition, to be held at the Bath Central Library from Tuesday February 18 until Saturday February 22.

The Exhibition, which will be officially unveiled on the preceding Monday evening (February 17) by Bill Aven LRPS, President of the Western Counties Photographic Federation, is open daily from 10.00am until 5.30pm. Admission is free.

Prints and slides will be on display with members' work embracing colour and monochrome and encompassing traditional photographic processes as well as the latest hi-tech digital methods. The entries feature a wonderfully diverse range of subject matter and will provide inspiration for all.
"Inspiring and beautiful," was a typical reaction to last year's similar exhibition, which attracted more than 2002 visitors. "Thank you for lots of ideas, beautifully executed," wrote another visitor last year.

This year's Bath Photographic Society Exhibition includes work from the leading photographic society in Alkmaar, the Dutch city. Bath has been twinned with Alkmaar for over 50 years.

Bath Central Library is in The Podium, Northgate Street, opposite the main post office in the city centre. The Podium, which has its own underground car park, is a short walk from Bath Spa station.

Images from the exhibition can be emailed to you for editorial use.
