BIPP Photographer Of The Year 2013 Announced - The British Institute of Professional Photography has announced its photographer of the year 2013.
The British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) held a celebration of professional photography at Buckinghamshire’s Hartwell House on 4 December 2013.
The celebration highlighted the BIPP South East Regional Award winners, the international Professional Photography Awards, and showcased the exceptional images seen throughout the year in BIPP photographic qualifications. The event culminated in the presentation of the BIPP Photographer of the Year 2013 and the Peter Grugeon Best Fellowship Award 2013.
Paul Coghlin FBIPP was awarded BIPP Photographer of the Year 2013 for his portfolio of 5 images named 'Equilibrium' in the Visual Arts category, for which he also received a Gold Award. This is the second time Paul has won this prestigious title, having previously been awarded BIPP Photographer of the Year in 2010.
Silver awards were presented to Scott Hogg ABIPP (Wedding & Portrait) and Annemarie Farley FBIPP (Visual Arts).
Bronze awards were presented to Richard Bradbury FBIPP (Commercial) and Dave Hunt ABIPP, who received two bronze awards in Visual Arts.
BIPP President Roy Meiklejon said: "It is an honour to acknowledge the achievements, pure skill and dedication of professional photographers. Those who have received awards produced some beautiful and original images which truly stood out from the crowd and encompassed what being a professional photographer is really about."
The BIPP Professional Photography Awards are open to professional photographers who are members of the BIPP, the leading qualifying body of the photographic profession.
Andy Whale FBIPP was awarded The Peter Grugeon Award for Best Fellowship for his portfolio of portraits. Although widely known for his London-based commercial work, Andy submitted an exceptional portfolio of portraiture.
