Bowens International have completed the Esprit monobloc family with the launch at Focus on Imaging of the new Esprit Digital DX models. The line up now features no less than nine models across the analogue and digital range.
Taking
many of the popular features of the traditional Esprit and integrating the precision
control and accuracy of digital technology; the tree new models - 250DX, 500DX
and 1000DX - all feature digital power control with accurate setting in precise
steps of 1/10th f-stop. The range provides covers 6 f-stops from full to 1/32nd
power output. Bowens have also taken many of the advances introduced in their
ground breaking Esprit Digital 750 - launched last Autumn - and incorporated them
into the new DX range including full IR remote control with eight channel operation,
bracketing, model lamp functions and more.
Key performance parameters such as fast recycling times and short flash duration match those of the highly successful Esprit with the user replaceable flash tube as a standard and strong steel casing to withstand the rigours of studio use. One of the key differentiates is the side mounted digital control panel providing easy access to all operational functions.
