In a lighting industry publishing coup Bowens has launched a Chinese edition of its widely acclaimed Litebook magazine.
The Essex-based lighting company first unveiled Litebook a year ago, as a free guide to lighting techniques, products and services in both hard copy and online page-turning formats.
Explained Robert Cook, Bowens marketing director: “We launched Litebook last summer just as many other organisations were sidelining their own customer magazines due to the encircling economic gloom. But as we celebrate the magazine’s first birthday we are also announcing our decision to publish a Chinese edition in both Shanghai and Beijing, where our British-built Bowens products are enjoying phenomenal success. We now print over 60,000 copies in total, which are distributed via Bowens dealers and inserted into leading photographic titles in the UK, Europe and the USA – and the digital version can be seen on the Bowens website.”
He added: “Litebook comprises over 70% high quality feature-led content, supported by latest product news and services – and pagination has grown by 80% over the first year of publication. Subscription is free and all subscribers are automatically entered into all our competitions to win new lighting equipment.”
