of Germany have developed a new scanner based on their many years of expertise
in producing high quality slide projectors. The result is a machine capable
of scanning up to 100 slides in a single batch and compatible with six projector
magazine types so that slides do not need to be removed individually.
With thousands of slide collections stored in magazines, the problem has always
been how to handle large numbers for scanning. The Braun Paximat SlideScan 3600
now gives these images a new lease of life in digital form.
The 48-bit scanner gives optical resolution up to 3600 dpi with scan preview
and auto or manual focusing. Data is rapidly transferred by USB and Fire Wire
with Adobe Elements software included for further adjustments. Scans take only
45 seconds for 1800 dpi targets and I minute 30 seconds for 3600 dpi. The Braun
SlideScan can handle full magazines, so that large numbers of slides can be
quickly transferred to digital form for easy storage on CD, printing, sending
by email or viewing on PC or TV screen.
