Press Release: BreezeBrowser Pro v1.7

The ability to link photographs and on-line galleries to online maps is just one of the exciting features built into Breeze Systems' BreezeBrowser Pro v1.7, released by the company today.

New in BreezeBrowser Pro v1.7:
Pinpoint locations of photographs on online maps. Create web galleries of photographs which show where pictures were taken. BreezeBrowser Pro v1.7's new GPS template enables the generation of online galleries displaying both thumbnails and an online map as illustrated above.

Click on a photograph in BreezeBrowser Pro v1.7 to display an online map or aerial view pinpointing where the shot was taken (image must contain GPS location data). Choose from Google Maps, Microsoft Live Search or Yahoo! Maps or specify your own preferred mapping service e.g. Topozone topographic maps in the US.

This latest version of the company's outstandingly fast image browsing and raw conversion software also offers a host of new features including full Windows Vista support and raw conversion for the Canon EOS-1D Mark III, Nikon D40 and Nikon D40X. The layout of printed contact sheets has been improved and a jump to source folder option added for image shortcuts. The keyword editor has been enhanced to support keyword synonyms.

BreezeBrowser Pro is Windows based software developed and marketed by Breeze Systems Ltd. Available for $69.95 (around £35) or $89.90 (around £45) bundled with Downloader Pro; the price includes one year's free upgrades. BreezeBrowser Pro v1.7 is a free upgrade for customers who purchased a copy of BreezeBrowser Pro within the last year. Customers who bought BreezeBrowser Pro before 21 June 2006 and BreezeBrowser customers can upgrade to BreezeBrowser Pro v1.7 for just US $35. (around £17)

Geotagging: BreezeBrowser Pro v1.7 reads GPS location data from both JPEG and raw images using the EXIF or XMP standards. Adding GPS data to images (also known as geotagging or geocoding) can be performed at the time the photo was taken if the camera supports a direct connection to a GPS receiver or by using GPS track log data when the images are downloaded to the computer. Breeze Systems' companion product, Downloader Pro v2.0, greatly simplifies this process by reading the GPS track log file and automatically geotagging JPEG and raw images as they are downloaded. BreezeBrowser Pro and Downloader Pro can be purchased as a money-saving bundle or as separate products.
