The British Life Photography Awards are now open.
This brand new photographic competition is a showcase for contemporary and imaginative images that capture the essence and spirit of British life.
With ten separate categories documenting real life through original, illuminating, thought provoking, humorous and poignant imagery.
Covering everything from; street life, rural life, portraiture and a special award for the best documentary feature, the awards celebrate British life and culture, whilst also highlighting the relevance and importance of photography to raise awareness and inform.
The competition is open to all photographers both amateur and professional.
A special prize will also be awarded to the best young photographer.
With an overall prize fund worth over £10,000 sponsored by Sony, winners and commended entrants will have their work displayed in a national touring exhibition and book published by ilex Press.
