Photoshoots with crabs, cuttlefish, kelp and other creatures are the order of the day for entrants in the annual British Society of Underwater Photographers (BSoUP) print competition, organised in association with Diver Magazine. But they need to enter their resulting prints soon as entries close on Saturday 1 October. The Wildlife Trusts will judge entries in the British and Irish categories, which have a ‘Living Seas’ theme.
Black faced blenny – Arthur Kingdon (2010 winner)
Portraits from previous competitions have emerged of curious shannies, mighty spider crabs, and graceful seals. Shortlisted images will be showcased at the Dive Show at Birmingham NEC on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 October. The winning ‘Living Seas’ images will earn photographers a year’s free membership to The Wildlife Trusts and a trophy. All images entered into the competition will be eligible for the grand prize of a week-long trip to Marsa Shagra including five days unlimited shore diving.
