The DSLR HD Video Revolution - DSLRs at the UK video technology exhibition.
For the first time, DSLR cameras will on on show at the Broadcast Video Expo 2010 due to the advent of HD enabled DSLR cameras. The Expo will run from the 16th to the 18th February 2010 at Earls Court 2.Press Release:
BVE 2010 is a UK image technology exhibition that has been running for 15 years without a single stills camera on the show floor. The advent of HD DSLR video changes all that. BVE 2010, running at Earls Court 2 on 16-18 February brings the visitor face-to-face with HD-enabled DSLRs technology for the first time, as well as a treasure trove of new accessories. The show is also delighted to announce free education enabling delegates to get top results from the leading DSLR cameras.
Two years ago it was assumed that DSLR cameras would eventually capture HD video. So when camera manufacturers launched the first generation with moving image capture, it was no big surprise. The target audience the marketing teams spoke of was the paparazzi and this seemed to make complete sense. One year on and this laissez-faire attitude to DSLR video has stopped dead in its tracks. The DSLR has arrived in the video and film production community with a bang and made an impact that it could never have dreamt of, with prize-winning DOPs and cinematographers shooting beautiful films on DSLRs.
New to BVE 2010 is a number of DSLR features that will help the photography, video, TV and film world get to grips with the HD technology:
- The DSLR Focus Feature: get hands on with the latest fully-pimped cameras and shoot action shots in a variety of lighting conditions. The experts from specialist dealer Park Cameras will be close by to answer any questions on the cameras.
- Production Theatre: DSLR Cinematography Workshop featuring DOP Philip Bloom & Den Lennie of the F-Stop Academy runs each day of the show
- A new series of seminars runs on Thursday 18th February:
10.45 DSLR Accessorising - film tools Tiffen UK
11.30 Beginners Guide to Video DSLR Julian Mitchell
12.15 Final Cut Pro - DSLR workflow & creating the look Larry Jordan
13.00 DSLR Filters Tiffen UK
