Camera Awesome App Taking The Market By Storm - This 'snaps app' is set to turn smartphone shooters into photo-champs.

A critically acclaimed photography iPhone app is set to turn millions of Britain’s casual ‘iPhone snappers’ into serious photographers – just in time for the UK’s summer of sport.
The Camera Awesome photography iPhone app, launched by leading photo-website SmugMug, is quickly growing in popularity and is now even turning top professional photographic heads in the UK.
Multi-award-winning Edinburgh-based photographer Trevor Yerbury said: "Now it’s going to be easier than ever for casual snappers to create great pictures and possibly even fool people into thinking they are seasoned pros. This app is far more than just a pretty interface – it’s a game-changer for the world of smartphone shooters. Some of the pro cameras I have used haven’t had features like a level for the horizon or the option to focus in one place and set exposure in another with just a touch."
Anyone with an iPhone can download the free app and start ‘Awesomizing’ their photographs. A new ‘fast burst’ shooting option enables users to capture all the sports action at up to 15 frames per second. To create additional effects on an iPhone or iPad there are hundreds of extra filters with textures and frame packs available to buy.
Once captured, shots can be archived forever to online photo service SmugMug.The app also enables users to upload photos directly to their favorite sites including Facebook, Instagram, Picasa, YouTube, Flickr or Photobucket with just one tap. Camera Awesome also boasts a pre-record setting in video mode that captures the action five seconds before you tap the button.
Camera Awesome had more than 4 million downloads in the first month after its launch. Its success is turning the iPhone into the camera of choice for every type of photographer from snapper to expert.
Don MacAskill, SmugMug CEO, said: "The iPhone is revolutionising photography by empowering us to invent the camera you never knew you always wanted. It only takes a few minutes to realize you’re holding the future of photography in your hands. The world will be a better place when everyone has an app worthy of the iPhone camera."

Totally agree with above, mines a 60D, Casual snappers HUH !.
Yep they will be having a full phoney china tea service delivered to the wedding reception by some SmugB-----d with all the days photo's on it before the official tog has downloaded to his desktop, meanwhile the album up to the cutting of the cake will have been sent to a wireless £49
printer and assembled by his pet rabbit and presented before the first dance.
Only then armed with a D4 will the official tog get the ambiance of the disco lights without flash.
Come on why else would you spend £5k plus would the app cope with that. ![]()
