Canon add 3 new generation projectors to their range -
Canon have announced
the introduction of three new generation Multimedia Projectors - the LV-7340,
LV-7345 and the LV-7545. These projectors have features that enable both quality
and first class-brightness, with true-XGA resolution. These new generation models are suitable for a wide range of user needs, from business presentations in well-lit rooms, to home entertainment applications where high image quality is important.
"In today's business world, it is becoming increasingly important to look smart and be ahead of the game when presenting to clients. Projectors and presentation tools are highly visible to meeting attendees so it is important the equipment itself looks good and projects sharp images, even in well-lit environments" says Hugh McCann, Marketing Manager, Canon Business Solutions.
The models feature Canon's proprietary Turbo Bright System. This system allows the whole colour spectrum to be utilised, making projectors up to 25% brighter than conventional LCD projectors. This brightness is maximised through features such as a 200W Ultra High Power lamp, a high-performance, large-aperture f/1.7 lens and a polarising transformation.
The LV-7545 delivers a class-leading brightness level of
3,700 ANSI lumens, the LV-7345 provides 2,100 ANSI lumens and the LV-7340 offers
1,500 ANSI lumens. Additionally, the LV-7545 and LV-7345 feature a LCD panel with
micro-lenses for improved light-gathering efficiency. All three products include
an Image Setting function, which sets the most appropriate brightness.
In
addition, the new models have a Digital Visual Interface (DVI) that improves image
quality. This allows a direct digital signal to be sent from a PC to the projector,
eliminating the need for analogue conversion. Each new model has a digital keystone
function that corrects image distortion caused by projecting the image to a screen
at an angle. Component inputs also allow compatibility with high-quality video
such as HDTV and DVD.
McCann adds, "People expect versatility as well as quality. New generation projectors such as the LV-7340, LV-7345 and the LV-7545 are not limited to business use. They allow multimedia usage with connectivity to DVD players and games consoles, making them ideal for a wide range of leisure applications".
Canon also announced the introduction of the Media Card Imager Kit LV-MC01, an optional accessory for the LV-7340 and LV-734. This allows users to display presentations from data stored on a Compact Flash Card and avoids the need to use and carry a PC.
