Canon Awarded Which? Best Photography Brand 2011

Canon has been awarded the Best Photography Brand 2011 by Which? Magazine thanks in part to the Canon Digital IXUS 300 HS and IXUS 1000 HS.

From Canon: Canon today announces the company has been awarded the Best Photography Brand 2011 by Which? Magazine.

The Which? Awards were launched in 2007 to reward the very best businesses in the UK and publicly recognise those companies that consistently ‘get it right’ for consumers.

Peter Vicary-Smith, Chief Executive of Which? said "As the cost of living increases, people want to know that they are spending their money wisely. The winners of this year’s Which? Awards not only offer outstanding products or services, but they have also demonstrated great innovation and customer care. Congratulations to Canon."

Over the last year Canon has won 22 Which? Best Buy awards across the EOS, LEGRIA, IXUS, PowerShot and PIXMA range and during voting, Which? members scored Canon highly in both customer satisfaction and reliability. Which? were “impressed by the Canon HS-System which helped to deliver exceptional image quality with the IXUS 300 HS and IXUS 1000 HS - the former received the highest overall picture quality rating that Which? had ever given to a compact camera”.

The award was presented at a ceremony held in London on 23rd June. Collecting the award, Canon Consumer Marketing Director Susie Donaldson said “We are very proud to have won the Which? Best Photography Brand 2011 award. Since winning the Best Audio Visual brand in 2009, we have continued to be passionate about providing consumers with imaging solutions that empower creativity and innovation, and this years Which? award recognises our commitment”.
