Canon EOS 1D Mark II N firmware update
This firmware update (version 1.0.4) includes the following improvements:
  • Fixes the phenomenon where the images are monochrome.
When selecting [Standard] in the Picture Style setting, and maximum value of +4 in Color Density, some images taken with the sRGB color space setting could become low-saturation and monochrome-like images.
In addition to [Standard] in the Picture Style, [Clear] and [Twilight] modes that are provided for download from the Canon Web site may also have this problem.
  • Fixes the phenomenon where the images are overexposed when using Focusing Screen Ec-S.
This firmware update applies to cameras with firmware version up to 1.0.3 installed. If your camera's firmware is already version 1.0.4, it is not necessary to perform this update.

Further details of the update and a link to download can be found on Canon's Japanese website

They might have made the damn thing a little quieter!.....Beautiful camera of that there is no doubt, but in burst mode it sounds like a machine gun and is almost as noisy!
