Canon EOS 600D vs 650D DSLR Comparison

At first glance, the Canon EOS 650D (aka Rebel T4i) may seem like a subtle upgrade to the Canon EOS 600D (read our review here), but looking more closely it has a number of interesting new features and technologies. The Canon EOS 650D is already available for pre-order from WEX Photographic priced at £699 body only.

The top of the 650D features a video setting as part of the on/off switch, although this has meant the DISP button from the 600D has been removed. Another noticeable improvement is the inclusion of stereo microphones.

• Increased max ISO25600 (ISO12800 max on 600D)
• Increased continuous shooting: 5fps vs 3.7fps
• New Touch screen with multi-touch gestures, such as pinching and swiping
• DIGIC 5 vs DIGIC 4 processor
• 9-point all cross-type AF system vs 9-point AF (cross-type at centre)
• New Handheld night scene
• New HDR mode combines 3 shots
• Full-HD movies with manual controls and continuous AF

Other new features give additional benefits for focus including improved AF and performance in live view and movie modes, which were noticeably slow on the 600D:
