Canon Opens New 'Touch and Try' Area Within Jacobs Store - The new shop in shop area should allow customers to get a decent hands-on look at Canon products.
Leicester Tigers and England Rugby Star, George Chuter was at Cecil Jacobs Ltd. London Road, Leicester on Friday 9th December to open its Canon Shop in Shop interactive Touch & Try area. George cut the ribbon to declare the area officially open and spent an hour in the store to meet fans and help them get to grips with some of the Canon products available to try. To celebrate, George gave away a signed, framed Leicester Tigers shirt which he played in during the 2004/2005 season. There was also signed merchandise for some of the first people to purchase Canon products from Cecil Jacobs Ltd. on the day. During his time in store George posed for pictures with his fans, which were then printed in seconds using Canons SELPHY compact photo printers for him to autograph.
Touch & Try
Canons Shop in Shop area will help customers have fun with Canon products to get the best experience they possibly can before making their mind up about buying. The area is fully interactive, so shoppers can take photos on Canons IXUS, PowerShot or EOS range of digital cameras, play with Canon camcorders, including the latest DC10 and DC20 DVD models, and produce stunning, lab-quality borderless photos in seconds with the PIXMA or SELPHY range of printers. Highly trained and knowledgeable staff will be on hand to demonstrate the products and answer any questions customers may have on Canon technologies such as DiGIC II, CMOS and Direct Print, among others.
Were very excited about the Shop in Shop concept, and have worked hard with the staff at Cecil Jacobs to make it a fun and intriguing place for their customers to sample Canon products, commented Linda Streat, Sales Manager, Independent Retail, Canon Consumer Imaging. Were delighted that George agreed to open the area for us.
