Canon PIXMA iP4950 Photo Printer

Canon have released the Canon PIXMA iP4950 – the printer that will be replacing the PIXMA iP4850.

Updated features

Full HD Movie Print lets you merge frames from HD movies captured on Canon still cameras while Layout Print mode lets you use a comic-strip effect to print a storyboard of a small movie clip. The Easy-PhotoPrint EX software now features filter effects you can instantly apply to your photos. The effects include blurring backgrounds, applying a soft focus, a fish-eye effect, miniature effect and toy camera effect.

Reduced environmental impact

The PIXMA iP4950 features Auto Duplex Print which automatically prints documents on both sides of the paper, helping reduce unnecessary waste. The printer also displays how much CO2 and paper is being saved when working in this mode.

Inks and printing

The PIXMA iP4950 features a 5 Single Ink system which makes it easy to replace each ink tank. It also features Canon’s advanced fine print technology, with a minimum 1pl droplet and up to 9600dpi print engine. It also boasts an enhanced ISO ESAT print speed of 12.5ipm for mono, 9.3ipm for colour, and produces a borderless 10x15cm photo in approximately 20 seconds.

Direct Disc Printing is also available with a new range of templates for disc labels and case covers available.
