Press Release:
With just over a month to go until the first Canon Pro Photo Solutions show, the countdown has begun until doors open.  With an outstanding line-up of exhibitors, seminar speakers, studio demonstrations and activities, together with a comprehensive range of Canon professional equipment on show to touch and try, the excitement is building for what promises to be a unique event.

To be held on 27th and 28th October 2009 at the Business Design Centre, Islington, final details of the show content have just be released.  The show is aimed at moving and still image professionals and will highlight how Canon can provide a complete workflow solution from image capture to output.

39 seminars will be held over the two days from 18 industry experts including Canon Ambassadors Jeff Ascough (Weddings) and Lorenzo Agius (Fashion); Canon UK Envoy, Annabel Williams (Portraiture), Dan Chung, Getty Images, Apple, Colour Confidence, Big Cat Diary creators Jonathan and Angela Scott and The British Press Photographers Association.

Photographers will be able to book one of  over 80 portfolio reviews with a distinguished panel including Canon Ambassador Lorenzo Agius, Getty Images, Professional Photographer Editor Grant Scott, and Canon UK Envoy Annabel Williams. The panel will be on hand to advise photographers on how to maximize the commercial opportunities for their portfolio based on their considerable commercial experience and expertise.

Studio presentations will cover topics such as shooting with available light, on and off camera flash, wireless studio shooting, and large format print, demonstrating Canon's input to output solution.  Expert technical advice for Canon's total range of professional products will be available from the Canon team.  Products include cameras, lenses, broadcast lenses and pro video camcorders, through to pro inkjet and large format printers, projectors, paper and ink.

The show will be supported by over 30 industry related exhibitors including Apple, Adobe, Wacom, Lexar, OnOne, Sandisk, Bogen, Mitsubishi and ProPhoto.   Members of the EOS Professional Network of retailers will also be at the show and include Calumet Photographic, Park Cameras, ASK and Jacobs Digital.

Other highlights include a 120 degree camera rig from Timeslice films used to create frozen time effects, first seen in the movie The Matrix.

An awards ceremony will be held at the close of the first day to announce the winner of the Canon sponsored Times Young Photographer of the Year.  The ceremony will be hosted by James Harding, Editor of The Times and Lee Bonniface, Country Director UK and Ireland of Canon Consumer Imaging.
