Casio Exilim ZR1000 Special Edition

The Casio Exilim ZR1000 is said to be the fastest Casio Exilim yet, with a start-up time of 0.98 seconds, interval recording 0.26 seconds, high speed auto focus 0.15 seconds, and a shutter reelease time of 00.016 seconds. It would certainly be interesting to get this camera in for review to see if these manufacturer provided specifications are realised in the real world. It's also the 10th anniversary of the Casio Exilim camera (read the Casio Exilim history here), and that's why there's also a special edition version of the ZR1000 available.

The Casio Exilim ZR1000 uses the Casio Exilim Engine HS3, that is said to give "Triple Zero" consiting of Zero Time Lag (stress-free operation), Zero Blur (faster, more precise focusing, with multi-method focus control), Zero Camera Shake (even handheld). The multi-method focus control sounds particularly interesting, witgh e one of the displays saying this can be used for creating out of focus background (bokeh), or alternatively creating macro photos where everything is in focus from the front to the back of the photo.
