Colab strengthens services for wedding professionals -
Wedding photographers looking for high quality prints and Internet services
will benefit from a new deal struck between Fujifilm Professional and Colab, the
Midlands-based superlab chain.
A number of professionals have turned to Colab
recently in their search for a prolab not connected to rival wedding and
portrait businesses. The new deal underlines Colab's commitment to the highest
quality output through is use of Fujifilm Crystal Archive paper.
"We are now
able to offer additional Internet services as more photographers want to reap
the rewards of digital imaging yet retain the quality feel of a genuine
photograph," said Colab marketing manager Phil Hurley. "Our Crystal Pix service,
offering stunning photo output from digital files, has already impressed many
photographers and now we are adding 'proweddings.co.uk' to
our armoury. These
offer all the benefits of the digital world without the investment in scanners
and software, or the training that goes with them."
Proweddings.co.uk has
been set up for photographers who shoot either digitally or conventionally. It
enables couples and their families to view their own 'official' images and
allows a wider group of family and friends to see candids - all images can be
ordered and paid for via the secure site. Ordered prints are produced by Colab
on Fujifilm paper.
"It's a brilliant service for professionals, designed to
increase their
customer base and speed up the time it takes for clients to
place orders," added Phil Hurley. "No more waiting for album proofs to do the
circuit - clients can view their pictures wherever and whenever they
like."
Colab has recently been emphasising the benefits of the service with a
series of seminars throughout May by top portrait photographer Ian
Coates.
