Color Splash For iPad Performance

The app is quite basic and easy to use, although it is worth watching the tutorial video to ensure you are aware of how to fully use the app. When you load an image it is turned grey and you can then turn your selected details to colour.

By hitting the Color option at the top of the screen the areas you select will turn to colour, if you accidentally run over to an area you want to keep black and white, hit the Gray button and go over that area again. The red dot next to the Color and Gray buttons shows you where you have selected to change to colour. To get in closer you can use a two-finger pinching gesture to zoom in and out, allowing you to work on details with pixel-accuracy. If you could see the full colour version of the image while editing, this would be an addition that would be helpful, particularly when zooming in.

It is also possible to change the size of your brush as well has its properties, whether it be from soft to hard or full to partial, adding to the creativity options. At any time you can hit the undo button and it will take you back step-by-step. When you are happy you can save your session, allowing you to further edit your image at a later time, or save it to Facebook and Twitter. You can also email your image directly from the app, send to another app or print.

Color Splash For iPad Verdict

The iPad and iPhone versions of the app are very similar, with the iPad's larger screen making it much easier to edit. It is great that you can save your sessions so you can edit your images further at a later date.

The Color Splash for iPad is an excellent app capable of helping you create superb images easily.
