Press Release: Custom camera brackets

US manufacturer Custom Brackets have appointed Flaghead Photographic to be their exclusive UK and Ireland distributor. Custom Brackets are based in Cleveland, Ohio and make range of high quality camera brackets, camera rotating mounts and flash mounting accessories.

These are the only wear-compensating camera brackets on the market today, made to the highest standards in precision engineering. These products are the culmination of two-years of design, development and prototyping, all backed up by the founders 20 years of experience in photography and manufacturing. Patented in 1999, the rotation feature is the first of its kind which allows the camera to rotate from horizontal to vertical.

Unique to these brackets alone, they do not need to be tightened, re-tightened, or adjusted to keep them working properly, as they are individually created using computer controlled machinery. They are manufactured from aluminium for light-weight and anodised black for durability. Also built into the brackets are modern plastics and spring loaded parts, to prevent metal to metal contact and compensate for wear. In short: real heavy-duty, quality tools for demanding photographers.

Custom Brackets allow the photographer to change the camera position from horizontal to vertical position in one easy and fast movement, while retaining the flash in it’s ideal position on top of the camera to avoid shadows appearing above and to one side of the subject.

A wide range of accessories allow customisation of these brackets to accommodate use of multiple flash units, radio or IR triggers and battery packs. To make selection easy a clever Build Your Bracket facility can be found on the manufacturers website to take the photographer through a selection process in easy steps.
