DCkina have launched a new device that acts as a shutter grip, tripod clip and external battery in one for the iPhone 5 and 4s.

The grip clips onto the bottom of the iPhone. It features three buttons for taking photos, switching between photo and video mode, and looking at your gallery photos.

The grip also allows you to attach your iPhone to a tripod, and provides an external battery to charge the iPhone while it is connected, too.

The shutter grip, tripod clip and external battery is available for $47.65 from DCkina.

But I guess nobody wants to make something that is actually practical, instead they make this bizarre contraption for the iPhone that just about nobody will buy, surely!

Why would I downgrade to an iPhone? Worse quality camera (front and back) Smaller (and lower resolution) screen, slower processor, less ram, no micro SD card, worse battery life, no micro usb, doesn't work with the DSLR controller app I have, fewer features, fewer customisation choices, and on and on...
