New version of Photo Calculator - Douglas Software launches Photo Calculator 2.2.0 for PDAs.
The new PDA Photo Calculator 2.2.0 has been launched by UK-based Douglas Software. Photo Calculator is a greatly enhanced version of its predecessor, the Douglas Camera Module software. It incorporates more unique features and is easier to use.
Photo Calculator gives PDA users a wider range of photographic opportunities than any other software on the market. Amateur photographers and professionals alike benefit from what is a quick and easy way to solve everyday optical equations - in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
It will, for example, calculate depth of field, hyperfocal distance, image dimensions and angle of view. There's a 'resolution option' which allows the user to specify a resolution for a more accurate calculation of the 'Circle of Confusion'.
(This is an important first step in assessing the performance of a lens when considering depth of field. Without Photo Calculator software, this would be a very difficult calculation for many photographers).
Photo Calculator enables users to make more effective use of their photographic equipment by simplifying the complexity of optical calculations. The software includes data for 30 digital formats, 9 digital blacks and 12 conventional film formats. Users can also select between 1/2 and 1/3 stops.
"By building on the proven performance of our best-selling Camera Module software for PDAs," said Douglas Green, Man-aging Director of Douglas Software, "we've been able to incorporate a far wider range of features into photo calculator."
"This gives photographers even more practical options with even greater levels of accuracy and creativity that they can clearly see in the end results."
Photo Calculator 2.2.0 has been designed to run on Palm, Pocket PC and Windows Mobile. It is now available from PocketGear, MobiHand, Handango and PDATopsoft where the software can be found with the search term 'dougsoft'. (Free upgrades are available for Registered Users.)
To make the introduction of Photo Calculator 2.2.0 as smooth as possible, new English-version manuals are available. Photo Software website.
