DxO Mark Branches Out Into Mobile

DxO has launched DxO Mark Mobile, a new service that lets you compare the image quality of cellphone, smartphone and digital tablet image quality.

The new service enables the user to analyse and compare the camera performance of the most recent mobile phones, smartphones and tablets. The still photo and video performance of the cameras is analysed, using the industrial quality scientific measurements of DxO mark Mobile.

Users can make comparisons between mobile cameras, and compare phones and tablets to conventional compact camera performance.

DxO mark has developed a series of testing protocols to analyse the colour, texture, noise, artifacts and autofocus capabilities of the mobile phone's camera. These features are analysed in both still and video modes.
