DxO Labs has announced the immediate availability of DxO Optics Pro v9.5.1 for Mac and Windows.

This upgrade allows DxO Optics Pro 9 to offer support for the new Sony α7s (Elite Edition only) and for four other cameras: the Sony DSC-RX100 III and SLT-A77 II, the Nikon 1 J4, and the Samsung NX30 (both Standard and Elite Editions).

DxO Optics Pro v9.5.1 has been enriched with new DxO Optics Modules: 376 camera/lens combinations round out the library, offering support for Canon, Konica Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, Samsung, Sigma, Sony, Tamron, Tokina, and Zeiss lenses for many Canon, Fuji, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Samsung and Sony cameras.

DxO Optics Modules contain all the information about the characteristics of each camera and lens so as to permit DxO Optics Pro 9 to automatically correct distortion, vignetting, chromatic aberrations, and lens softness with an unrivaled level of quality. More than 19,000 camera/lens combinations are available today.

The Standard and Elite editions of DxO Optics Pro v9.5.1 for Mac and Windows are immediately available in the DxO Labs online store (shop.dxo.com) and at photo resellers at a special discount until 15 July 2014:

  • DxO Optics Pro 9 Standard Edition: £79 instead of £119
  • DxO Optics Pro 9 Elite Edition: £159 instead of £239

A fully-functional free trial version of DxO Optics Pro 9, good for one month, is available on the DxO Labs website.

This software is staggering... Just left to 'do it's thing' in standard mode post install... The things it does to my old D200 NEF's is unbelievable. Noise? What noise? Lens abberations? What lens abberations? Fisheye lens corrections? Right on the money.

Seriously... do I reload my LR 4+ now the new PC is (finally) up and running??

THAT is a difficult question.
