Are Olympus hiding the E-P3? - Are Olympus giving us a sneaky look at the E-P3? It seems some think so.

Olympus advert
Olympus are teasing the camera market with a campaign hiding what some believe to be the E-P3.

The advert which ironically says “you can't hide innovation” has a hand hiding most of the camera out of sight. There are a few gaps between the fingers which give glimpses of what appears to be an interchangeable lens and a hotshoe.

So, do Olympus have a new camera for the Micro Four Thirds range? Give us your thoughts.

Put a thread out yesterday (are there to many formats?) that had a number of replys regarding micro 4/3rds i think that it is going to be the road Olympus go down and possibly not manufacture mirrored cameras in the future. But, surley an EP3 is just too soon. They will lose credibility.

From what I have read this will not be the E-P3, it will be smaller, made of plastic (not metal like E-P1 and E-P2), same sensor. Its supposed to be an entry level micro 4/3's camera. I reckon the E-P3 is 6 months away at least.

What makes you think it will have an interchangeable lens, could be something along the lines of an RS or SP Smile

No you're not, I am. It says so.

We're aware that it may not be an interchangeable lens, but the shape looks similar to the pancake lenses already released. It's only speculation at this point.

At present the only fixed lens camera`s Olympus have are compact or prosumer digicams with small sensor`s.

So yes I agree Matt, it does resemble a 20mm pancake, both the Olympus 35 SP and RC had lenses of around 40mm.

I`m just seeing a fixed lens RF type compact on the way with a 4/3 size sensor.

Olympus already have have a range of prosumers called SP, so this will more likely be along the lines of an RS.

Of course I could be wrong.
