EF-500 DG SUPER flash announced by Sigma - Advanced features and high performance for the latest digital SLR cameras and 35mm film SLR cameras.

The
Sigma EF-500 DG SUPER is designed to work with the new TTL systems of both Digital
SLR and 35mm AF SLR cameras of all- popular manufacturers for advanced flash
photography.It's a multifunctional hotshoe mounted type flash that provides a large amount of light output, featuring a guide number of 50/m (165/ft) w/ISO 100.
The autozoom head is set automatically, changing the angle of illumination to match the lens' focal length, ranging from 28mm wide-angle to 105mm medium-telephoto.
It also incorporates a built-in wide angle diffuser panel that covers an angle of view of 17mm.
For bounce flash it can be tilted 90° upwards and 7° downward for close-up work. It can also be swiveled 180° to the left and 90° to the right.
The gun incorporates a "modeling flash" mode to provide proper light distribution to check the shadow of the subject.
EF-500 DG SUPER incorporates a multitude of diverse features; multi pulse strobe flash, wireless TTL flash photography, slave flash photography, FP flash photography (synchronized with high shutter speed) and Rear Curtain Synchro Flash mechanism.
In addition, manual flash can be set at 8 power levels.
The covering focal length of the flashlight can be seen on the LCD panel, and a flash ready signal can be seen in the viewfinder. The EF-500 DG SUPER also incorporates an auto power off system.
All models feature a new cosmetic finish and the Nikon version incorporates the unique Ittl expo-sure control (fully dedicated to the Nikon D-70 digital SLR).
